Validations exist for location codes, when used in integrations. The TMS only differentiates between these in particular places
(and
rarely so).
CUSTOMER_DEFINED - limited by MercuryGate TMP location code format standards - 2 or more characters in length, ascii
letters, numbers, space, and the following characters: * -, ., /, :, /, _.
Region validation exists for Canadian provinces, Mexico states, and states in The United States of America. In these countries,
the
region code must be a two-letter code found in the list of abbreviations used in those countries. For these countries, the
region code
is also required.
For all other countries, the region is not required or validated. It is expected that the region is included and correct if it
is
needed in a country; additional region code validation will be added over time.
